- Development of a methodology for market analysis in South Africa and neighboring countries (SADC) for the expansion of renewable energies and PtX production capacities to meet national needs and for export
- Systematic analysis of the technical and economic optimization of PtX production paths along sustainability criteria and certification requirements
- Supporting the development of certification schemes with a focus on plant certification, the dynamic operation of electrolysers and wind turbines
Implementation Approach GH2
- Implementation strategies for PtX export approaches to qualify for international markets (e.g. implementation of guarantees of origin)
- Support of local development/implementation of certification schemes for green H2 in South Africa and the SADC region
- Identification of suitable hardware, economic optimization of wind energy generation and determination of potentials for hybrid power plants that enable an embedded PtX strategy.
