HySecunda Consortium Holds First Half-Year Project Meeting
The Fraunhofer HySecunda Consortium, a joint project for the “Technology development, certification and capacity building for the international market ramp-up of green hydrogen and its derivatives in the SADC region using the example of the HyShiFT project in South Africa”, met for its regular project meeting at the Fraunhofer IEG in Cottbus in early June.
Within the consortium, an initial presentation of results and progress control took place with the project coordinator PT Jülich (PtJ).
During the project meeting, working sessions were held, in which the current status of the individual work packages was mutually reported, progress was assessed, and the project goals were aligned with the funding guidelines and schedule.
The HySecunda Consortium has already made great progress in the first half of the project year.
For example, in May 2024, the team organized the first stakeholder workshop [link] in Johannesburg, South Africa. The workshop met with great interest and offered participants the opportunity to learn about the project and to make significant input to our project activities in the field of market and certification accessible and discussable by the participants.
There is an intensive exchange with the HyShiFT Consortium in all the different subject areas of the 3 project blocks.
Furthermore, a growing network of institutional and research partners has already been successfully established, which in particular ensures networking activities and collaborations in the field of capacity building, market modelling for PtX projects and material developments for hydrogen technologies.
The HySecunda Consortium is on the right track and all the institutes involved are confident that they will achieve their ambitious goals.
