Fraunhofer HySecunda Workshop in South Africa Successfully Fosters Dialogue on Green PtX Project Development

The Fraunhofer HySecunda research project recently concluded a highly successful workshop in South Africa, bringing together stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities for green Power-to-X (PtX) project development.

The workshop in South Africa brought together stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities for green Power-to-X (PtX) project development.

The workshop, titled "Stakeholder-Dialogue-Workshop on Market Modelling and Certification of PtX Projects" featured insightful discussions on least-cost energy transition pathways and the transformative potential of PtX technologies. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, exchanging ideas and driving impactful discussions that will contribute to shaping key conclusions aimed at guiding South Africa's aspirations for domestic and international PtX projects.

"We are incredibly grateful for the participation of such an engaged and interesting community," said Sebastian Schindler,  organizing lead of the workshop and member of the HySecunda coordination team. "The insights and perspectives shared during the workshop will be invaluable as we move forward in developing a framework for future PtX projects and exploring the role of hydrogen certifications."
